Questions.
What exactly do you measure?
Volumes of the brain and its structures, measured against your own earlier scans on a 12-month interval. Each result comes with its smallest detectable change.
How big is the margin of error?
It is being measured now, in the scan-rescan study at HELIMED. The figure is published on the method page once the study is complete.
Can I upload my existing scan?
No. A scan from another machine cannot be compared precisely with ours. See what we won’t do.
Why two scans per visit?
Their difference shows how much the measurement varies on the day. Without it, a change cannot be told apart from measurement error.
Do you give a brain age?
No. A single score without its interval is what this service exists to replace.
Can I see the method in full?
The method page states the scanner, the sequence, the visit design and how the error is computed.
What do I get after the first scan?
Your reference point, your margin of error, and a reserved place in the series. The first comparison comes with scan two.
Is this a medical test?
No. NevoScan™ is a measurement service, and its reports make no medical claim.
Is the scan safe?
MRI uses no ionising radiation, and NevoScan™ uses no contrast agent. Before the visit you complete the standard MRI safety questionnaire.
What does it cost?
An annual membership covering one visit a year. Pricing is shared with the waitlist first.
Where and when?
HELIMED, Katowice. First visits from mid-2027.
